INTRO TO IMPROVISATION <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can I take the class if I’ve never done any acting? <\/em>Sure you can, as long as you have a positive attitude and are willing to joyously try new things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can I take the class if I\u2019ve already learned improv somewhere else?<\/em> Sure you can, it will be just like going to the gym (just maybe less sweaty). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is there anything else I need to know about these classes? <\/em>You should know that we have a few expectations for anyone that signs up for our FREE classes. Here they are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Attend the workshop<\/strong>. We are committed to creating the best event for you, we would ask that even though there is no money involved you treat this workshop like the $99 value it is.  As class space is limited, cancelling on the night of the event means someone else misses out on the experience. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Participate! This workshop is all about experiencing improvisation and enjoying the thrill of the unexpected. Although there will be moments that you\u2019ll be sitting and enjoying others work, be ready to get involved in all of the evenings activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Bring a positive attitude, and be respectful to others. This class will be filled with fun opportunities to explore improvisation. Let\u2019s be kind to each other and have a great time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Be prepared to move around a bunch, we won\u2019t be running a marathon but Improv can be a physical art from. Come to the class wearing comfortable shoes and clothes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Join Coast Improv for a week of Improv Comedy classes with the Coast’s own Asha Lebreche! Youth will learn all the fundamentals of improvisational theatre while also learning lifelong skills like storytelling, problem solving, and the power of positive thinking. If you are a young person age 13-17, come join the fun and spend your spring break laughing!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    OUR SPRING BREAK CAMP INSTRUCTOR –<\/strong> Asha Labreche has been bringing laughter and creativity to the Coast community for over a year and a half with Coast Improv. When she\u2019s not teaching kids the art of \u201cyes, and,\u201d you\u2019ll find her coaching young girls in boxing and empowerment\u2014a role she\u2019s loved for the past two years. As a mother of two, Asha knows the magic that happens when kids are given space to play, grow, and be themselves. A Coast local since 2016 (and a regular visitor since the 1980s when she was a kid herself), Asha is passionate about exploring and celebrating this awesome community. Her approach to teaching combines energy, encouragement, and lots of laughs\u2014because the best learning happens when you\u2019re having fun!\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n
